What does this organization do?
- New Kingdom Trailriders is the Quad Cities only PATH accredited facility offering Therapeutic Horseback Riding lessons to riders as young as four years old. At New Kingdom Trailriders, we strive to become the leading standard uniting people with horses through acceptance and encouragement to achieve emotional and physical wellness. To empower individuals of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential through equine assisted activities.
What inspired you to choose this organization?
- I started my journey at NKT through my love of horses, but I quickly realized that the barn is a magical place for riders and their families. It's impossible to not become inspired by the dedicated staff who ensure every rider has a positive experience, all while building confidence and learning patience. The connection between horse and rider is a very special bond and I am privileged to be a part of that journey.
What kind of volunteer work do you do with this organization?
- Board Member, Finance Committee, Volunteer weekly helping with horses in the barn.
