What did you do during your sabbatical? During my sabbatical, I spent a lot of quality time with my family, enjoyed the outdoors, and went on vacation.
What was your biggest takeaway or most memorable moment during your sabbatical? My biggest takeaway from sabbatical is that I really enjoy taking a nap after lunch time. My most memorable moments were on our vacation near Traverse City, Michigan. Sleeping Bear Dunes was amazing, the beaches and vineyards were beautiful, and I went sailing for the first time.
How did your sabbatical impact your personal or professional growth? It was great to take that time off and reflect on my values.
Did the sabbatical help you return to work feeling more refreshed and energized? Yes and no. I was refreshed and more focused but that only lasted for about a day lol.
Is there any advice you would give to someone that is preparing for a sabbatical? Take naps mid-day - they are the best!! Plan your vacation early in the sabbatical so you dont come back and immediately go back to work.
