QCBT CEO John Anderson Retires, Laura "Divot" Ekizian Takes the Helm

John Anderson, the esteemed CEO of Quad City Bank & Trust (QCBT) for the past 17 years, has retired, effective January 3rd. This marks the conclusion of a distinguished 40-year career in the banking industry, 26 of which were dedicated to QCBT.

"Under Anderson's leadership, QCBT experienced remarkable growth. Total assets surged from $600 million to $2.6 billion, while the bank solidified its position as the market leader in the Quad Cities. Employee count also expanded significantly, reaching 255," stated Larry Helling, CEO of QCR Holdings, Inc.  

"John has been a true visionary and a driving force behind QCBT's success, his commitment to 'dignity and respect for all' has fostered a positive and inclusive work environment, and his contributions to the Quad Cities community are immeasurable," said Todd Gipple, President & CFO of QCR Holdings, Inc.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Anderson has been a dedicated community leader, serving on numerous boards, including St. Ambrose University, Genesis Foundation, and Vera French among many others.

Succeeding Anderson as CEO is Laura "Divot" Ekizian, a seasoned banking professional with 24 years of service at QCBT. Ekizian began her career as a Private Banking Officer, cultivating strong client relationships. In 2015, she was elevated to EVP, Chief Relationship Officer, further deepening her community engagement. In 2020, she assumed the role of President and Chief Relationship Officer, overseeing several key departments.

Ekizian is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, Quad City Arts, and Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa, Western Illinois and St. Ambrose University.
